Stuart Ryder

What do you get from playing physical disability rugby?

“There’s too much to go in to in detail, both me and my family have got so much from my involvement. Mostly it keeps me active, provides the chance to still be involved in a team sport, and provides a constant reminder that anything is possible., no matter what obstacles are in front of you.”

Why did you decide to start playing physical disability rugby?

“A mate mentioned a few times that I should give it a go, and one week when I was feeling down, I finally went along to training to try something new and get out of a rut. It’s got to be one of the best things I’ve ever done!”

How long have you been playing PD?

“I joined in spring 2019.”

What do you love about playing for Warrington Wolves?

“I’ve been a massive Warrington fan since the mid 80’s and the chance to pull on the shirt is an absolute dream come true! The fact I get to do it alongside such an amazing group of teammates makes it even better.”

Stuart thank you for taking the time to tell us about your PDRL journey so far and we can’t wait to see how you get on in the 2022 season!
